Bridal accessories, our favourite styles and top wedding trends.

Saying yes to the dress is a big moment. For so many the wedding dress plays such a pivotal role in the overall aesthetic of the day. Committing to your dress can be both exciting but also overwhelming. Many brides feel the fear, what if something better is out there, what if I change my mind? These are all very common feelings. I always reassure brides that making that decision feels so great. It unlocks so much more of your wedding planning. And I don’t mean the boring wedmin but the fun, creative elements, the visual aspects that will really bring the day together. Once your own aisle style is defined you can agree on the best bridesmaid style that will compliment your dress and finalise the colour scheme. You can work with your florist to create a bouquet that suits the style of your dress. For some, an oversized, loose bouquet will work best, for others a smaller posy of structural florals will look great. You can also really focus in on the details and style your look. This is where we can continue to help you. From veils to headpieces to customised clothing, we can create a look that is unique to you, reflecting your personal style and personality.

To make creating your aisle style easier we have put together some of our favourite styles and shine a light on some bridal accessory trends that are here to stay.

Pearls

Pearls have been making a come back for a few seasons now and they aren’t going anywhere. Considered a classic, pearls are being reimagined into modern and timeless accessories.

Bows

Bows are having such a moment. From cute and small to oversized and bold they can be worn in multiple ways. Add to your dress or wear in your hair or why not do both?

Celestial

Celestial details are a winner amongst boho brides. Their ethereal style transcends trends and appeals to free spirited brides looking for a more relaxed look.

Capes & Statement Veils

Adding a cape or statement veil really puts the "“bridal” into your bridal look. It’s often the finishing touch that has the steeliest of Mumma’s crying. Veils don’t have to be traditional, choose modern shapes and embellishments, we’re even adding tassels for a boho loving bride. A cape is a really nice twist on a veil, you get the same dramatic effect but the overall look is more relaxed, whimsical and romantic.

Customisation

Customisation is a growing trend as it’s a way to make your day more personal. At Love & Loved our recommended seamstress can customise your denim jacket with embroidered and embellished designs. She can also personalise sweatshirts and t-shirts, available at L&L. For a different look, choose our hand painted options. We can create a bespoke design for denim or leather jackets and we can even customise your trainers with a hand painted design.

Festival

Festival vibes are on trend right now with many couples choosing outdoor wedding venues or tipi style celebrations in local woodland or farm land. With so many gorgeous barn venues available they too are the perfect setting for a more laid back wedding with a party atmosphere. We love a festival wedding because really, anything goes. From sequins to flower crowns, wellies to flip flops you can curate your own aisle style that is unique and reflects your personality.
